Another fine day, another fine new product! In consultation with a professional stone mason we have produced a brand new “Lure Original” ice chisel – find it in the store here.

A special thanks to 30+ wonderful grade 10 boys and teachers from Crescent High School who joined us on a 4-day canoe and hike adventure in Killarney Provincial Park.  Rain, high winds and a near-freezing morning temp. didn’t deter these fine folks from all getting to the highest point in the park and enjoying expansive views from the summit.  Well done Crescent boys and thanks for a great trip!

Our new products are trickling onto the website every week now, with lots more waiting to get inputted to the system.  Today we’re happy to announce the official release of our Premium Trail Toboggans.  Made with an even more slippery and more durable form of Polyethylene (UHMW vs the original HD), our premium trail toboggans add all the features that make our original toboggans so great to an even higher performance running surface.  Heading out for an ambitious, extended expedition, or just want to know at the end of the day that you hauled the best trail toboggan possible?  Check out our new Premium UHWM Toboggans!.

We’re excited to announce the Lure of the North will be offering the Saturday keynote presentation at the Winter Camping Symposium this year!  This is a great event that is packed with presentations, hands-on workshops, gear demonstrations, good food and great camaraderie.  In addition to our Saturday evening presentation we’ll also be hosting a special 1-day winter moccasin workshop and will host a vendor’s table as well.
