First off, we are sorry for the absence. Our website has definitely been left to the wayside of quick simple social media posts that frankly I am getting tired of. We would like to revert back to more blog-style updates that don’t end up pulling our attention 6 different ways before even realizing what we were on there to do in the first place.
We are entering a time of reflection. As you know, we are approaching our winter sabbatical and a part from one prior committment with our UK partner, our winter is so far, a clean slate. Some opportunties have come up that are work related and we are doing our best to refrain from saying yes because that would defeat the purpose of a break. I have many more thoughts on this, and I’ll save it for the next newsletter.
So for now, I wanted to announce, better late than never, that we are characters on the new season of Mountain Men: Wild North! Streaming on StackTV on Prime Video and the History Channel live and repeats it is not too late to start watching! We just had episode 3 of 10 air and they are going to keep getting better each week!!
If you have missed getting the play by play updates of our behind-the-scenes adventures off-grid, this is your chance to catch up with us! We filmed almost 50 days this late winter, spring and summer to create 10 episodes of homestead projects that might make you tired just watching! Or even better, inspired!

| If you’ve missed us on YouTube the last several years, and you know you’ll miss us this coming winter because of our sabbatical, we think this a pretty great way to keep tabs on us! Find Mountain Men Wild North on the History Channel, StackTV and Prime Video! WATCH THE FULL SEASON HERE Watch the Trailer HEREIf you love it, and want to see more, please make sure to rate it highly and share with your family and friends. We’d love to get a second season to showcase what else we are getting up to on the homestead. if you have followed us for a while, you know that we rarely stop! |

I have to say, this was an incredible experience. It was so fun to be able to do this together with Dave, work on our property and showcase the lives we live when we aren’t taking people out on incredible expeditions or felling trees and installing solar systems locally.
We are both so grateful for the opportunity and are really hoping for a season two. If it does pan out, that may interrupt our sabbatical plans, but we strongly believe in trying new things and saying yes to experiences that who knows where it might lead us to. So we are staying open to the possibility and hope that you enjoy peaking behind the curtain of our off-grid life!
Thanks for reading and please let us know what you think of the show thus far!
Sincerely,
-Kie and Dave
