Fabulous workshop marathon complete!

The past two weeks have been crazy busy for us with 10 of the last 14 days we were running workshop all over central Ontario. Thank you so much for all of our participants  who made this marathon a pleasure!! Click here for some highlight photos of the week.

We are now switching gears as the preparation of our winter gear is complete and it is time to prepare for heading out on the trail!! Much food will be dehydrated, gear will be gathered and the maps are out discussing all options! Click here for our expedition line-up!

S1 E5 – Ishpatina Ridge (8 days)

What an amazing variety of weather we saw on this wonderful March trip this year. We had 5-days that were 27 *C and lower with lots and lots of snow. It was an 8-day trip that felt way too short! The group sprung from all ages and by the end it felt like we were all family. Ishpatina is one of our favourite trip for experiencing a range of terrains and challenges.  Check out more information here.

Canadian Canoe Museum- Wonderful Experience!

What a wonderful workshop we had at the Canadian Canoe Museum this past weekend. There were 12 participants and every one of them turned out a beautiful pair of their very own winter moccasins! Just in time too! We wanted to thank again Beth from the Museum for having us down as we had a lot of fun being a live exhibit right in the museum! We look forward to coming back next year and getting people ready for winter!

EC 2012: Killarney Krossing

Our first ever EC trip was a thrilling (and exhausting success).  Six, seven days across Ontario’s majestic Killarney Provincial Park, over hill and dale, no obstacle could deter the incredible attitudes of these fine folk!

Members (alphabetical): Sam Cutforth, Colin Pollard, Anneke Ritchie, Cam Ritchie, Stephen Ritchie.

To see if this adventure is offered again this winter, please see our Killarney Krossing expedition page.

On the Road

We’re on the road early this week, presenting at the Toronto Outdoor Club on Oct 22, and the Barrie Canoe and Kayak Club on Oct 23.  Looking forward to meeting with other winter enthusiasts!
