TB 2018: Life on the Trapline

Learning how to set a conibear trap in front of a beaver lodge.

The expedition came to fruition because we had recently became the trappers on the line that connects to our property and surrounding area. We really love the idea of harvesting from the land to provide sustenance for our family and guests. We thought we had a unique set of skills that marry together to give the general public the chance to see into a life that wouldn’t otherwise be easily available. The skills to take people out winter camping and keep them safe, with the certificate and authority to humanely and sustainably harvest beavers meant that the Life on the Trapline course was born!
