This was the next stage on our idea to walk every Missinaibi Mile. It was 240 kilometers of river that progressively got wider and wider. We were able to walk the famed trading route and pass the old trading post at Brunswick lake which was not actually visible under the snow. But knowing we were walking the footsteps of those who came before us felt very special. You could feel the history and magic on this section of river. Battling slush, deep snow and cold weather we came together as a team and reached our destination at the tiny hamlet of Mattice. Looking down the river we knew we had to keep going. But that was for another year…
