Description

Our 2014 Explorer’s Club Expedition was a brand new and exciting undertaking for us!  We were very pleased to be joined by expert winter ecologist and former Laurentian University professor Dr. Gerard Courtin to explore the winter and the incredible Wolf Lake area in a whole new light!

Our 9-day expedition will include 5 travel days and 4 instruction/ exploration days.  This trip takes us into the heart of the world’s largest old-growth Red Pine forest to answer questions like, “Is there an advantage to being evergreen?” “Where does a snow bunting spend a night?” We will be looking at snow in a new light, tracking animals, identifying deciduous trees in winter and more! This is a one time offering that you won’t want to miss!
