We are Out’a Here!

We are off to the Mighty Missinaibi on our final adventure this winter season. We will be back on the 10th of March and will be slowly getting back to orders and emails. We very much appreciate all of your continued support for us. Please accept our apologies for any delays you may encounter.

You can follow our progress on our expedition by clicking the Facebook link. You do not need an account to view our posts. https://www.facebook.com/lureofthenorth/

Thank you again and happy snowshoeing!

Not shipping until mid-March

Its winter!!!

The tripping season is upon us and we’re in full swing now.  We’ll be out on trip pretty well steady from now until mid-March.  We may have an opportunity to ship some kits in late February, but then again,may not.  Please call or write in advance if you’re not able to wait until mid-March.  We’re very sorry for the inconvenience but hope you’ll have lots of opportunities to get outside and enjoy the season!

WINTER 2018: Heading on the Trail!

The wide open spaces await us!

Important Order Delays!

We’ve continued to have an incredible and overwhelming response from others who share our passion for wilderness adventure in the frozen north!  We have a busy winter schedule ahead of us, and some of our products may suffer lengthy delays for the remainder of the season.

Here’s a list of the products that are shipping quickly (when we’re home!):

The following items will have lengthy delays. You should probably contact us first before ordering any of:

  • Mittens;
  • Moccasins;
  • Snowshoes.

However, did we mention we have DIY versions of the above? :)  They’re all shipping quickly (again, if/ when we’re home).

Happy Holidays!

We’re all tied up!

Dec 23: We’re visiting family for the holidays, and will be closed until ~ Dec 27th.  Any orders placed during the holiday season will be put in our queue and filled as quickly as possible once we return.

Thank you for a wonderful 2017, and here’s to many snowy adventures in the new year!

The Holidays (and winter!) are upon us!

Town run fun!

Saturday Dec 16th: We’re heading out to teach our final workshop of the season tomorrow, Sunday the 17th, and will not be available to fill orders again until Dec 27th.

If you place your order today, Dec 16th, we will try our best to get it out in our final run tomorrow.  This will not include hand-made moccasins, mittens or snowshoes, but could include DIY kits for those products.

Missed the last sleigh ride into town?

You could always get them a gift card ;)

Christmas Update

Update: We’re heading back on the road to teach our final workshop of the season on Dec 16th, so that is our final day for filling Christmas orders.

What’s shipping quickly: Gift Certificates (obvs), All Kits! (except snowshoes), All Toboggans, 10 oz Anoraks, Kni-Co Stoves, and craft supplies like hides and furs.

What might ship on time: Pending some supplies arriving this week, we might be able to supply Ice Chisels and Snowshoe Kits for Christmas too

What’s not going to make it for Christmas: Our hand-made moccasins and mittens and our snowshoes are all back-ordered, sorry that we won’t be able to deliver these in Santa’s sleigh. You can still order these in time for the coming winter season though and we’ll make and deliver them as quickly as we can.

Nov 25 – Dec 3: On the Road!

We’re on the road for a week of workshops from Nov 25 – Dec 3.  We have lots of supplies with us to try to fill orders, but of course can’t bring everything with us, so there may be delays.  We’ll be home and filling orders as quickly as we can as of Dec 3rd.  Make your purchases now to hold your spot in queue, and we’ll keep you posted on your parcel’s progress.

Freebies Update!

Just a quick update on our Freebies program: it’s proving quite popular and stock is dwindling quickly.  We’re on the road quite a bit this fall and having difficulty keeping track of how much of each “free stuff” we have available.  So all freebie offers are “subject to availability”.  If we don’t have any in stock, we’ll send you our apologies and recommended alternatives, or maybe even just substitute something for you if we’re trying to finish your order and get it to you in time for Christmas crafting!

Thanks for your understanding and support!
